We live with Kilim carpets on the floors, and furniture upholstered in antique Kilims. We spend a lot of time admiring and analysing the motifs woven by Eastern artisans into the various designs. Many of these have been combined in this jacket and we have used assymetry for the first time in a Fair Isle. The design could easily be modified to make the two halves mirror images of each other, and we have indeed knitted one variation that way.
